Field Service Technician - Charlotte, NC

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • 2+ years installing and maintaining machines

  • Ability to travel in NC and SC with potential overnight trips 1-2 times per week

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

  • Pass pre-employment and random drug testing

  • Associates or Technical degree

Reponsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventative maintenance to customers

  • Complete on-site system audits and evaluations for indoor or outdoor facilities

  • Troubleshoot basic control system with the support of an electrical engineer

  • Perform minor electrical maintenance

  • Install SCADA/Control panels including conduit and wiring

  • Installation and calibration for control instruments

  • Practice and adhere to all safety and training

  • Report to Engineering Manager

  • Identify safety issues and opportunities for improvements at customer facilities

  • Workdays between 7:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

  • Represent Fortech in a professional and courteous manner
